Moerenuma koen Park - Sapporo city

This huge park is one of the symbols of Sapporo city. The architecture Isamu Noguch who is famous in worldwide has designed this park. The whole park is architected as sculptures.
The Sakura forest in the park has approximately 2600 cherry trees such as Sargent cherry (Prunus sargentii) around playing equipment. Many people from adults to kids visit there during their best blooming.

Makomanai Park 真駒内公園

Makomanai koen Park - Sapporo city

There are approximately 13200 cherry and also 50000 naturally growing trees in 85 ha park. Sargent cherry (Prunus sargentii) will start blooming from the end of April, Yaezakura (double cherry blossom) will start blooming from the middle of May. They have approximately 1000 cherry blossom trees. During autumn, the park is well-known as the best spot of leaves color changing.

Goryokaku Park 五稜郭公園

Goryokaku koen Park - Hakodate city

The park is famous for as its star shape. When it becomes the end of April Yoshino cherry (Prunus yedoensis) and Yaezakura (double cherry blossom) start blooming.
The best period to view them will be from the begin of May to the middle. During night, they have light display. There is the restaurant where you can enjoy Genghis Khan (famous soul food in Hokkaido). It would be also nice to view them from the canal with the hired boat.

Asahiyama Park 旭山公園

Asahiyama koen Park - Asahikawa city

It is located in the west part of Asahikawa city, which is right next to Asahikawa Zoo.
A lot of nature growing trees are left in there and the view of the city from the hill is spectacular. You can also enjoy hiking with your family.
There are approximately 2300 trees of Sargent cherry (Prunus sargentii) and dogtooth violet (Erythronium japonicum). They have light display during night, especially only this period.

This is the best 3 gardens in Japan with Kairakuen in Mito city and Korakuen in Okayama city. In there, you always come across the different faces in each seasons. This is one of major cherry blossom spots in Tokyo. Along the Meguro river about 4km, there are around 830 cherry blossom trees of Yoshino cherry (Prunus yedoensis) from Oohashi to Meguro station. In there, you will also find fashionable shops. This could be the best place to enjoy watching cherry blossoms and shopping.

This garden is registered as the place of special scenic beauty in Japan and they have miniature 88 scenes of Japanese gardens in Japan. The symbol of Rikugi-en is Shidaresakura (weeping cherry), height 15m, depth 20m. During the end of March, they cherry blossoms become their best and fully booming. It looks like a pink color water fall. Someiyoshino (prunus yedoensis) is usually blooming earlier than Shidaresakura (weeping cherry), therefore, you will be able to enjoy them as well even with light display during that period.

Mori garden is the circuit style garden located in Roppongi-Hills. You will enjoy walking in spring viewing the cherry blossoms in here.

Asukayama Park 飛鳥山公園

The park is located in the small hill. The history of this park goes back to around Edo period 1716 when Yoshimune Tokugawa who was 8th Shogun dominated Japan. It is well-known that he plant cherry blossoms and admired people to visit here freely to enjoy them.
At the season of cherry blossoms, many people still visit there to enjoy them. There are around 650 cherry blossoms, moreover, you can also enjoy 15000 of azaleas and 1300 of hydrangeas.
The park is open at night till 9pm.

At the begin of March, Kawazu cherry blossom becomes their best. Due to the less tourists around this period, you will be able to enjoy them more comfortable than April. 420 Yoshino cherry (Prunus yedoensis) will be the best from the end of March to begin of April, then 500 Yaezakura (double‐flowered cherry tree) of 20 kinds will be the best from begin of April to the end of April.

秋月 杉の馬場通りの桜 Akiduki Sugi(Japanese cedar) Baba street

Akiduki "Sugi(cedar)-no Baba" street - Asakura city, Fukuoka

The street toward to Akiduki castle, there used to have many Japanese cedar trees. Due to this, this place is called "Sugi (Japanese cedar tree)-no-baba".
There are approximately 200 cherry blossom trees in both side of street (500m) and it becomes cherry blossom flower tunnel during spring.
The contrast of nature and castle town is perfect view. On the 1st Sunday of April every year, they have "Akiduki festival".

There are approximately 4000 cherry blossom trees (mainly Someiyoshino (prunus yedoensis)) around the pond. The reflection of flowers on the pond is very beautiful.
During the season, they have light display during night and there are many shops along the street.

Taishojin koen Park - Iizuka city, Fukuoka

It's located in the hill 112m elevation. You will be able to see the whole city from the park. There are approximately 2500 Someiyoshino (prunus yedoensis) trees and they start blooming when spring starts. You can enjoy walking under cherry blossom tunnels in there.
Moreover, they have 120m slider with roller, Observatory dome and Taisho shrine in the park.
